Hose

Fire hose is used as either supply hose or attack hose. Supply hose moves water or an extinguishing agent from a source to a fire pump. Attack hose moves an extinguishing agent at an elevated pressure from the fire pump, through a nozzle, which is then applied to the products of combustion by a firefighter.

For firefighters to safely manipulate fire hoses and the necessary appliances they must know the capabilities of the equipment and the proper safe use of it.
